P&J Arcomet secure Potain dealership for mid-Atlantic
P&J Arcomet is the new Potain self-erecting crane dealer for the mid-Atlantic
region of the US. The company, which is a joint-venture between US rental
company P&J and international tower crane company Arcomet, will cover
Virginia, Washington DC, the majority of Maryland and the majority of
Delaware. The dealership arrangement was finalized at the Intermat trade show
in Paris, France earlier this year.
“We’re very enthusiastic about this opportunity,” said Dirk Theyskens,
managing director at Arcomet. “This partnership gives P&J Arcomet the
necessary capability to become a major rental player in the region. We plan to
have 90 cranes in our rental fleet by the end of this year. Potain is
absolutely the number one in terms of quality and price and we have the best
levels of service, the expertise, the size and the power – it’s a great
combination.”
Peter Jehle, president and CEO of P&J Arcomet added:
“The US market and the demand for self-erecting cranes is growing. We are
looking to provide a combination of rental and sales to the market. Backed up
with qualified factory-trained technicians and local parts availability. The
Potain models Igo 36, Igo 50 and HDT 80 have particular appeal. Every time we
rent a self-erecting crane to a new customer, they always come back. It’s a
growing market.”
Stephen Jehle, EVP at P&J Arcomet, added:
“We are extremely pleased with the service and commitment from MCG. We look
forward to growing our relationship further.”
