Potain offers improved mobility with Igo MC 13

The Igo MC 13 self-erecting crane is the newest addition to Potain’s Igo M series. M Series cranes are fitted with towing axles for optimum transportability. The Igo MC 13 is equipped with one trailer axle and can be towed at up to 25 km/h when carrying full counterweight, without exceeding 12 t on the axle. It has a transport length of 10.5 m and is ideal for roading in numerous countries.

The crane erects easily in less than 30 minutes, making it a perfect candidate for short-term jobs. Maximum capacity is 1.8 t, which the crane can lift at a radius of 8.9 m. There are two versions available, one with a 22 m jib and another with a 20 m jib. The 22 m jib version can lift 0.6 t at its jib end, while the 20 m jib version lifts 0.7 t at its jib end.

David Havard, Potain’s global product manager, said optimizing transport increases customer profitability.

“Transportation continues to be one of the biggest influences for our customers when selecting their cranes,” he said. “Transportation costs obviously add to the price of a job, but the M series keeps these costs to a minimum making the cranes suitable for even very short-term jobs.”

On-site footprint for the Igo MC 13 is 3.9 m x 3.9 m. The jib on the crane is able to luff to 20˚ which corresponds to a maximum height under hook of 21.5 m for the 22 m jib version and 20.7 m for the 20 m version.
